The Verify Addresses command checks all the addresses in your database by matching them with the complete database of addresses maintained by the US Post Office. Your computer must have internet access to use the Verify Address command. When you select this command, your entire First Look Pro database is uploaded via the internet to The CAD Zone’s secure server so the addresses can be verified.
When the Address Checker finishes, your database is downloaded back to your computer. Addresses that were successfully verified are returned to First Look Pro along with their latitude and longitude values. These values allow First Look Pro Map to locate those buildings on the map. Other addresses are marked if they are duplicates or if they can not be properly verified, so you can correct them.

Address Checker Error Codes:
D – Duplicate Entry was found for this address. One of the entries should be deleted.
M – “Multi-match”
N – Not verified, there was no matching address in the USPS database for this location. This address should be corrected or verified by an onsite visit.
V – Verified, this address will be returned to First Look Pro with latitude and longitude data.
Once the Verify Address command is completed, select the Update All button to make the final changes to your First Look Pro database. Then you can correct the records that could not be properly verified. You may want to physically visit some of the sites to verify manually if they are a valid location. If you do visit a site, you can use First Look Pro Map Designer to manually capture the latitude and longitude of the address, using the gps receiver.
You can quickly obtain a list of all the records that could not be verified using the Query Builder.
From Edit Mode, select Database Tools, and then select Query Builder.
On the right side of the Query Builder dialog box, double click on First Look Pro to display the list of saved queries. Scroll down and double click on the query named “Verified Addr. Errors.”
To run the query, click the blue triangle icon on the upper-right side of the Query Builder dialog. This returns a list of all the records that have Verify Address errors associated with them.
Once you have the list of records, you can export them to Excel or HTML format for printing or editing. For example, select the Export menu, then select Export Query Results to Excel.
Once you have completed the Verify Address command and corrected any errors, your database is ready for use in First Look Pro Map.
