When you get your ESRI files, be sure to ask what “Projection System” is used with these particular map files. There are over 1700 different projection systems, so it is critical that you know which one to select in First Look Pro Map preferences. If you do not choose the correct projection system, the maps will not function properly.
Choosing the correct "Projection System" for your .SHP files is essential for First Look Pro Map & First Look Pro Map Designer to operate correctly. If you choose a "Projection System" that is different than the one used to create your .SHP file, then First Look Pro Map & First Look Pro Map Designer will malfunction, and the display will be erroneous.
